Dates: Harry and Maggie Wetzel purchased land from the heirs of Cyrus Alexander in 1962. Alexander Valley Vineyards was founded in 1975.

The Wetzel Family Estate: Alexander Valley appellation, Sonoma County. The vineyards stretch from the banks of the Russian River up on to south facing hillsides. AVV produces nearly 20 wines from the 11 estate grown varieties, listed in quantitative order:

Annual Production: 100,000 cases

Caves: Approximately 25,000 square feet of underground storage hold 7,000 French and American oak barrels of aging wine.
