So here's an array of wine dinners and festivals closer to home where you'll have a chance to try our latest releases and perhaps discover something new about AVV.

Washington International Wine & Food Festival

Whether you are new to wine or have been an aficionado for years, you are certain to find something at this fest. Alexander Valley Vineyards will be on hand, pouring the latest releases at the festival, which will feature "A Taste of the Chesapeake." For more details, click here.

Greenery Wine Dinner

April 6 - El Paso, TX

AVV owners Hank and Linda Wetzel host this special dinner featuring Alexander Valley Vineyards wines. Greenery Executive Chef Bobby Griffing and Executive Pastry Chef Karina Ramirez have crafted a five-course dinner to pair with AVV wines. The courses include pan-seared red snapper served with the 2006 Estate Chardonnay and seared Hudson Valley fois gras with first-of-the-season fava beans. Zucchi's Wine Dinner

April 7 - Odessa, TX

A west Texas favorite, Zucchi's, plays host to a dinner featuring Alexander Valley Vineyards wines. Hank and Linda Wetzel will be on hand to talk about their winery and the wines. For information and reservations, call the restaurant at 432 550-7443.

Arizona Wicked Weekend

April 11 - 13 Greer, AZ

The beautiful Hidden Meadow Ranch, winner of the Award of Excellence by Conde Nast Johansens Luxury Travel Guide, is the setting for this wine event showcasing Alexander Valley Vineyards Zinfandels (and our other wines as well). Ruffino's Wine Dinner

April 14 Baton Rouge, LA

Executive chef Peter Sclafani, III has crafted a special menu that will be paired with Alexander Valley Vineyards wines. Hank Wetzel, who hosted a great dinner at this award-winning restaurant last year, is back to talk about the wines. The cost is $90 including tax and tip. Ricciuti's Wine Dinner

April 23 Olney MD

Ricciuti's located in the historic Olney House is the setting for this wine dinner hosted by Hank and Linda. The menu includes Alaskan Halibut with Chili Barbecue Sauce paired with the 2007 dry Rose of Sangiovese and Maryland Lamb Stew with Roasted Shallot Ravioli and paired with the 2004 Alexander School Cabernet Sauvignon. Sixth Annual St. Michael's Food & Wine Festival

April 24-27 St. Michael's, MD

Great music, great food and of course Alexander Valley Vineyards wines are all part of this annual festival on the beautiful grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. On April 26, Hank and Linda Wetzel host a seminar "Old World Grapes - New World Style" that will taste through several AVV wines, examining the personalities of old European varietals when produced at a "New World" winery in the Alexander Valley. Durango Wine Experience

May 1 - 3 Durango CO

Alexander Valley Vineyards will be in this historic former gold mining town for the second annual Experience. Seminars and lots of food-friendly food fill the weekend which caps off with a Grand Tasting. The Durango Wine Experience benefits the Community Foundation Serving Southwest Colorado. Pink Out!

May 13 San Francisco, CA

Join Alexander Valley Vineyards and the Rosé Avengers & Producers to celebrate the release of the 2007 dry Rosé of Sangiovese at this year's edition of the Pink Out! Nantucket Wine Festival

May 14 - 18 Nantucket MA
