More Accolades For CYRUS!

2007 CYRUS continues to wow the wine critics adding two more awards:

91 points Wine Enthusiast - December 2011

91 points Connoisseurs' Guide To California Wines - December 2011

Charles Olken of Connoisseurs Guide wrote: "More than once in the past,
Cyrus has ranked with the better wines of its district, and this very deep,
well-composed effort can make the claim again. It is wonderfully expressive
with a full range of sweet oak and briary spice set against confident
ripe-currant fruit, and its keen sense of balance makes it both age-worthy
and surprisingly attractive now.

We're celebrating CYRUS!

Cyrus Alexander was a 19th century adventurer, rancher, gold miner, community leader and since 1995, the namesake of CYRUS,
our benchmark red wine that showcases the Alexander Valley.

Our estate winery is located on the original Alexander homestead; to date only two families have owned the property, the Alexanders and Wetzels.
CYRUS is our tribute to this special land and the region we call home.

We need your help to celebrate the next release of CYRUS.

Welcome to Alexander Valley Vineyards

Welcome to our family-owned wine estate, once the original homestead of Cyrus Alexander, the 19th century rancher and namesake of this prominent viticultural appellation, Alexander Valley.

We purchased the land from the Alexander's heirs in 1962, planted vineyards, and in 1975 built our winery. Here we grow grapes and produce delicious wines that complement food and enrich your dining experience.

Alexander Valley Vineyards is located on Highway 128 in northern Sonoma County, just 75 miles north of San Francisco, 6 miles from the sleepy town of Healdsburg and 16 miles from Calistoga in the Napa Valley.

Visit our historic property, taste our award-winning wines including our
Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and our renowned Sin Zin, bring a picnic
andenjoy beautiful vistas of our peaceful, rural valley.
