Curried Chicken Salad GewürztraminerEntréeFowl “I like to serve this salad in lettuce leaves with warm naan bread and of course a glass of AVV Gewürz.” – Jane Houser, Tasting Room Associate Chicken Salad Ingredients: 1 rotisserie chicken, shredded ¹⁄³ cup green onions, sliced 1 ½ cups diced celery ¹⁄³ cup roasted, salted cashews ¹⁄³ cup golden raisins 1 apple, peeled & chopped Dressing Ingredients: 1 ½ cups mayonnaise ¹⁄³ cup AVV Gewürz ¼ cup Major Grey’s chutney 3 Tbsp. curry powder salt & pepper to taste Method of Preparation: For the dressing, combine mayonnaise, Gewürz, chutney, curry powder, salt and pepper. Mix together until smooth and set aside. In a large bowl combine shredded chicken with celery, apple, raisins and green onion. Add dressing and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours. Add in the cashews before serving cold or at room temperature. Enjoy with a glass of the 2016 AVV Gewürz.
